Thoughts on 21st Century Learning.

   Talking about 21st Century Learning hurriedly brings technology-integrated classes to mind but It is definitely more than that. It consists of four skills;

  1. Critical thinking.
  2. Creativity
  3. Collaboration.
  4. Communication

   21st Century learning is critical both for education and the development of character. It is to enhance the way of working, thinking, and solving problems. It is also very important to get learners used to working in a collective working environment and deal with problems it may bring about. By integrating these specific four skills, learners get the pure confidence to experiment with the language and take risks which makes learning more peaceful. Collaboration skills can also be beneficial for learners to communicate with other learners since it is an area in which people tend to struggle. When it comes to technology being integrated into language classrooms, It can be very beneficial if It is successful integration since It can bring different foreign-language speakers together. In addition, movies, music, and other ways of using tech in class can be comforting to learners who have learning or language anxiety. Also, the fact that most young learners are now more digital natives than us, teachers, It becomes harder and harder to catch the attention of the younglings. Colorful screens and nice audio and the ability to create new projects with the ease of technology are something favored by the younger, digital native generation.
